Speed Demon: Okada Riders II

Sometimes events have an eerie way of occurring – following yesterday’s blog about the incident with a commercial motor-cyclist and the dangers of unregulated and reckless okada riding, I witnessed a small accident this morning.

I was in Victoria Island for a meeting around 10am, and had just parked and killed the engine of my car, when an okada cyclist tried to overtake and cut in front of a Toyota SUV on the same narrow street.

The SUV rammed the side of the okada as the driver was taken unawares, and the bike crashed to the ground. Thankfully, no-one was seriously hurt – and both persons were soon on their way.

Here are the pics.

Let us reflect.
