About a Boy

The owner of this blog, Esco is a young male professional, who sees everything around him in 3D, and wants to convey everything to an audience.

From the crooked policeman  to the big bellied corrupt politician; from dare-devil motorcyclists to every day suit-and-tie city bankers; from the short-skirted  and airbrushed Brazilian weave-clad socialites to everyday college kids riding shotgun in a beat-up Honda “Baby Boy” – everyone has a  story to tell. This is the story of every Nigerian.

This blog solemnly swears to relay every experience, with a prayer to stimulate reform and change in our communities.

From Lekki to Lawanson, Lagos to London, Maitama to Magodo, Akoka to Asokoro, Hendon to Houston, Atlanta to Aberdeen, Bariga to Baltimore, Toronto to Taraba…

I want to be there with you on your way to work, in traffic, in the bus, BRT,  in the Tube, and back. Switch on your I-Phones, Blackberrys, PCs, laptops, Ipads and smart phones.

Join me everyday, as I share experiences with you all, in words, art, pictures, music and musings.

Peace.

I hope this scribe reaches your hand in good health.

  8. Esco,

I am into good music anything from the mid 90’s to 2006 after that it beggars belief to actually enjoy some of the trash being spewed out as music nowadays. All in all you have gotten some new fans over here in sunny Trinidad been spreading the gospel of literati satires championed by father esco!!…lol!!

    • I believe that as well. Music nowadays sounds mass produced and too pop. It is just like the new Gala. Lol. Wow, I have a readership all the way in the Islands of T&T? Are you a medical professional? I have a good friend who lives and works in Grenada, which I guess is not too far away, right? Nice one btw. Glad to have you on board, champ.

  9. Esco, you have simply described my growing-up days to a tee, in “who are in your neighbourhood”. I’ve been laughing, smiling and shaking my head in silent amusement at all those antics we played with our catapaults, using those harmless red-headed agama lizards for targets practices, bless our then but thrill seeking innocent souls. I guess you lived around Adisa Bashua street or somewhere around Ibezim Obiajulu street then, Tears of laughter were streaming down my eyes reading about “mama Basirat’s” deliciously tempting puff-puff. Thanks for taking me down memory lane, long may your pen flow with clean, good humoured write-ups. You’re just wonderful.

    • Hey Timmy, glad to be of service, as we took a trip down memory lane. Yeah, I lived not too far from those parts.
Thanks for coming through. Long may it continue
